About Anna

Hi, I'm Anna

and I'm a Mum of three, based in Silsden, West Yorkshire, and completely passionate about children, play, and the spaces we create for them.

I spent over 12 years as a Primary School Teacher specialising in Early Years, setting up classrooms designed to be calm, purposeful, and genuinely joyful. In 2023, I took the leap to train as a Play Therapist - because play isn't just fun, it's how children make sense of their world.

Becoming a mum deepened everything I already believed professionally. I know first-hand how much the right environment matters for not only the children in the home, but for adults and family as a whole - the toys you choose, the spaces you create, the habits you build around play.

Oak & Acorns brings together everything I've learned, helping families create home spaces where children genuinely thrive.

  • BSc Hons in Psychology (University of Nottingham)
  • PGCE (York St John University)
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills (PTUK / University of Chichester)
